The DOTS Address Validation - US instantly verifies and corrects a United States street address. It does this by checking the address against a continuously updated database of United States Post Office valid street addresses and other online databases.

DOTS Address Validation uses Delivery Point Validation. The DPV database allows developers to check the validity at the mailbox-level (over 165 million mailboxes). By utilizing the DPV feature within DOTS Address
Validation you can very quickly realize great savings by reducing fraud and
additional delivery charges. General address validation (like CASS certification) is limited to verifying that an address is within a block range.
Delivery point address validation verifies that a certified address and mailbox exist. The United States Postal Service licensing prohibits using DPV for the generation of address lists.
