DOTS Name Validation is an XML-based Web Service that allows developers to parse single-field names into separate fields containing the individual parts of the name and determines gender.
DOTS Name ValidationSM will parse the name into its components, indicate the gender of the first name (Male, Female, or Unknown) and determine the origin of the first name, this can be used to assign personalized salutations. Names that can be used by either gender (Cameron or Terry) return a Neutral. If a vulgar word is used, a status of "TRUE" will be returned.
