In as far as your consent is necessary in this respect, this will only take place if you have granted the required consent.
The same applies to web beacons and other standard collection tools. These tools help provide additional functionality to our site and help us analyze use of our web site more accurately. We may also use cookies to help track the level of interest in different features of our site and to compile data that can help us improve our Services. You can choose not to use cookies but then you will not be able to take advantage of certain features of our web site.
Service Objects uses your information and other collected information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide contact information for a certain reason, we may use your contact information in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by email, we will use the contact information you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem. Also, if you provide your contact information in order to obtain access to our services, we will use such information to provide you with access to such services and to monitor your use of such services. Your contact information also may be used to provide you with new product information, monthly newsletters and support services offered on our web site, to notify you of technical updates or changes in our policies, to improve the content and functionality of our web site and services, to help us better understand our users, or to deliver other services.
Service Objects is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this personal information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your personally identifiable information with certain third parties with further notice to you, as follows:
In the event that you have volunteered contact information, you may request access to, correct or amend that information by editing your account profile or by emailing us at privacy@serviceobjects.com.
We will take reasonable precautions to protect personally identifiable information in our possession from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personally identifiable information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is, however, 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personally identifiable information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
“Data” means any information that you send to any of our Service Offering. We do not cache copies of any Data you send us as a part of your use of the service, except for batch files that are permanently deleted after 5 days. We do not keep copies of the Data sent to us nor the responses sent to you. We do keep daily usage log for billing purposes, saving only the date that the transaction occurred. We do not release, sell, rent or lease any Data to third parties.
“Product Information” means any information utilized by any of our services for validation purposes. Our address products contain publicly available information, maps and information from various information providers. Our phone products contain contact information from the published white and yellow pages of telephone directories and from directory assistance. Our email and contact verification products contain identifying information from public and private sources with secure connectivity to other information providers.
All our services can be used by companies, political organizations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies through our highly secure socket layer “SSL” AES-256 encryption when providing contact information over the Internet.
If you use the forum, blog or post comments on our web site, any contact information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. Service Objects is not responsible for any contact information you choose to submit in that context or anything arising from such submissions.
Our web site may contain links to other web sites that are not owned or controlled by us. Service Objects is not responsible for the privacy policies of such other web sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our web site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by this web site.
Service Objects will offer EEA, Swiss, or the UK individuals whose personal information has been transferred to us the opportunity to choose whether the personal information it has received is to be used for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. An individual may opt-out of such uses of their personal information by contacting us at privacy@serviceobjects.com.
Please note that when you visit our site, your data may be sent to the United States and possibly other countries. We store data about our web site visitors on servers located in the United States.
Service Objects employs appropriate mechanisms for cross-border transfers of personal data, as required by applicable local law. The European Commission has approved the use of model contract clauses as a means of ensuring adequate protection when transferring data outside of the EEA or the UK. By incorporating model contract clauses into a contract established between the parties transferring data, personal data is considered protected when transferred outside the EEA or the UK to countries which are not covered by an adequacy decision. Service Objects relies on the model contract clauses for cross-border data transfers from another entity to us. Following recent decisions invalidating the adequacy of Privacy Shield to transfer data that originated in the EEA or the UK to the U.S., Service Objects no longer rely on Privacy Shield for cross-border data transfers.
Service Objects operates “AS-IS” and “AS-AVAILABLE,” without liability of any kind, as more fully described in the Master Services Agreement.
